In addition to offering a wide range of business transactional, corporate finance, real estate, international law, and estate planning services, Mitchell-Phillips Law also provides the following unique, flexible, and cost effective legal services to meet the changing needs of our clients:
General Counsel. Fast-growth and mid-sized companies need cost-effective, full and part-time in-house general counsel legal services to help their business grow and mitigate the risks associated with their success. Often, small and middle-market companies cannot afford the high cost of creating an internal legal department or using the more expensive services of an outside, traditional hourly-rate law firm. We will make it possible for businesses to enjoy all the advantages of having an experienced outside counsel as part of their management team, working at the company on retainer while slashing legal costs. Whether part or full-time, having a lawyer on-site at the company can help keep the company running smoothly, prevent legal surprises, and provide strategic, business-savvy counsel.
Small Business. A small business encounters many problems after it is organized and operational. For example, when a small business enters into a major transaction such as a bank loan, a purchase or lease of equipment, or any real estate transaction that involves the drafting or review of various legal documents and the preparation of minutes authorizing the transaction. In addition, there are often changes in the statutes and regulations that necessitate changes in the company's contractual documents and/or internal manuals or ongoing regulatory compliance that may require a small business to timely file corporate annual reports. As a result, small businesses need a high-quality and personal attorney to make sure they are meeting all of their legal obligations to ensure continued success in the future. We offer an affordable fixed fee "Small Business Package" for our small and emerging business clients that provides them with entity formation, intellectual property protection, registered agent services, and 5 hours of free legal advice over the first 6 months of operation.
Minority & Women-Owned Businesses. Minority and Women-Owned Businesses have unique challenges in the start-up and growth stages of their business so we offer comprehensive legal services to both large and small women and minority-owned businesses in a variety of industries. Legal services will include advising and counseling on legal issues tailored to women and minority-owned businesses, identifying sources of capital, assisting clients in obtaining certification for contracting and supplier diversity opportunities with the federal, state, and local governmental entities.
Corporate Legal Training. We provide corporate compliance training and business legal programs for executives, managers, human resources professionals, and individual contributors designed to prevent costly employee lawsuits, and create respectful workplaces for all employees. Whether a half-day workshop for top-level managers and supervisors or a series of full-day workshops for all employees, Mitchell-Phillips Law, P.C. will provide effective workshops on employment law and labor relations, minority and women-owned businesses, small and emerging businesses, and effective management of businesses to avoid legal exposure.
